Meet the Team

​Dr. Sandra Mauro became interested in optometry at a very young age. Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada she started her first job in an optometric practice. Dr. Mauro continued working for the optometric group during high school and through her undergraduate years. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from McMaster University in Hamilton. After graduating from McMaster, she continued her studies at InterAmerican University School of Optometry where she received her Doctorate of Optometry degree in 2000.  She completed internships at Omni Eye Services in Atlanta, Georgia and at the Vision Institute in North York, Canada. She has been in private practice in San Antonio, Texas and in 2007 moved to Central Florida.  Dr. Mauro is committed to providing top-notch care to keep your eyes healthy and happy.

She and her husband, Jaime are the proud parents of Sofia and Sebastian.

Dr. Jaime Delgado was born in Brooklyn, New York. He has been an Orlando(Conway) resident since adolescence, attending nearby McCoy elementary, Liberty Junior High and Colonial High School.

Dr. Delgado graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.

After completing externship training at Omni Eye Services in Iselin, NJ (a center specialized in ocular pathology) world renowned Vision & Conceptual Development Center with Pioneer Dr. Harry Wachs in Washington D.C. and Chrycy  Eye Group (contact lens specialty) in Miami, FL , Dr. Delgado received his Doctorate of Optometry in 1999 from the Interamerican University School of Optometry. He received several awards in primary care and contact lens fitting. Dr. Delgado has practiced in Texas  and since 2007 has returned to his Central Florida roots coming full circle back to practice in the Conway area where he grew up.

Dr. Delgado currently resides in Saint Cloud with his wife Sandra, and daughter Sofia and son Sebastian.

Eye care professionals  specialize in understanding how the human eye really works, as well as diseases and conditions that affect your vision- many of which do not always have obvious symptoms. Optometrist know how age and risk factors affect vision over time for young and old.  Eye doctors also understand the benefits  of corrective lenses both as eyeglass and contact lenses.

Our Eye doctors at Hoffner Eye Care take the time to explain the results of your eye exam, describe your options  and listen to your eye care needs. Maintaining good eye health is an ongoing partnership, we encourage you to ask questions and share your health information, which could be vital  to monitoring, diagnosing and treating existing and potential vision problems.
